Application from the Final Assembly line
The following application from a final assembly line performs the following functions:
-	receive data from a host system containing an iden-tification number, a type code and a motor code. This data is handled as preview data and stored in an index-sequential database
-	exchange command signals via digital I/O with a PLC
-	identify a car by means of scanner reading
-	send identification code to host system
-	retrieve data from the database and write it into a portable data ID tag (in this case Moby from Siemens).
-	handle emergency situations like reading failures or write failures to the Moby
-	provide status information for production personal
-	provide statistics
-	provide information for maintenance personal
