The
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is
an application layer protocol that facilitates the exchange of
management information between network devices. It is part of the
Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) protocol
suite. SNMP enables network administrators to manage network
performance, find and solve network problems, and plan for network
growth.

Parameterization:

The SNMP functionality is an add-on to the RTC-32 system and must
be licensed from I.C.S. GmbH. Licensing means that the SNMP module
must be included in the license code in the project file APPL.PRJ.

The SNMP module must be named in the file EC.ECD:

A specific ENTERPRISE_OID for I.C.S. GmbH has been obtained from
http://www.IANA.ORG and will be
used within the SNMP module.
