ICS Support Philosophy
Effective January
2004 the following changes and enhancements will be activated.
ICS is
now maintaining it's own http server.
We now
have our own POP3 mail server. The mail addresses will change to the new
URL shortly.
ICS FTP SERVER
We have established an FTP server in order
to eliminate problems with sending crucial large files by mail. Please
apply for your own private ahttp://www.ics-control.com/ccount which enables you to transfer files
from and to our server by sending a request to
service@ics-control.com.
SUPPORT MAILING LIST
We have set up some mailing lists to support ICS
RTC-32 applications and services at
support@ics-control.com
for different issues.
After you have subscribed to
a certain list, any email you send to
this address - as well as the answers from ICS - will be seen by all
subscribers of the list. In this way, the list implements a public forum
for discussing any aspects of using ICS RTC-32. Mailing list subscribers
can expect to receive a response within a few hours (max 24 hours) of
making a support request.
To use the list and to monitor list traffic you must:

Subscribe
to a certain list by sending an email to address
support-request@ics-control.com with the text
SUBSCRIBE <listname> in the first none blank line of the
message body. (The brackets <> should not be a part of the
request). Of course you may subscribe to more than one of the available
lists.

If you have a technical question,
post
your support request
by sending an email to address
support@ics-control.com or any other
list you may have subscribed to. Posting is only possible after
having subscribed (see above).

If you no longer wish to receive support
mailing list messages or answers to your posts,
unsubscribe from the list by sending an email to address
support-request@ics-control.com with the text
UNSUBSCRIBE <listname> in the first none blank line of the message
body.

If you need help on how to
subscribe or unsubscribe send a mail with a
HELP REQUEST to address
support-request@ics-control.com with the text
HELP in the first none blank line of the message
body.

In order to receive a list
of active support threads send a mail with a
LIST REQUEST to address
support-request@ics-control.com with the text
LIST in the first none blank line of the message
body. The response on this request will let you know, which lists
are currently active.

Please observe the following netiquette when
posting a request to one of the ICS support email addresses:
News group of ICS
In order to improve the communication between ICS and
our partners we have set up a newsgroup on our servers.
The access to the news groups is restricted to certain
persons, which have been granted a username and a password.
In this moment we are supporting two groups:
The first of the two groups is being moderated; e.g.
messaged posted to this group require authorization of the moderator for
being shown to the public.
The group "Project-CP3" is not being moderated; e.g.
any message posted to this group will be available immediately to any user
in this group.
Please set the properties of your news-reader ahttp://www.ics-control.com/ccount
to the server "news.ics-control.com" and enable authorization with your
username and the password, otherwise you will not be able to connect to
our server.
