| No Administration of the warehouse |
"No Administration" means that the application themselfes
include no own administration of a warehouse, like an image of all
cars currently present in the warehouse and how or where to insert
or extract cars to/from the warehouse. Instead, this page describes
certain external applications, which provide information to the administrative
application.
The warehouse presented on this page is made up by 3 lanes for storing
car bodies and two lanes for bypass operations. The direct process
control of the conveyor system is done by PLC's (S5 from Siemens),
while the administration is done by an overlayed system FIS-OPTIMO,
which came from Volkswagen, Germany.
|
| There are three applications involved: |
| - |
the KSR interface, which is responsible
or all the data exchange between the KSR PLC and FIS-OPTIMO |
| - |
a data capturing and control point (I-Point)
at the entry of the warehouse (physically at the left side of the
following picture), and |
| - |
a data capturing and control point K-Point)
at the entry of the warehouse (physically at the right side of the
following picture left bellow) |
 |
The system layout looks like the picture right above.
All communication is done via network, using the protocol layers UDP/IP
and PMON. PMON is a Volkswagen specific communication layer, comparable
to the ISO/OSI layer 3 and 4.
